Economy - Not bad everywhere

Last night my wife and I decided to go out to dinner after completing a series of errands. We have not been out to dinner since August.

We went to the local Applebys and were surprised to find the parking lot filled and a twenty minute wait for a table. When we left we past a few other small chain restaurants - Ruby Tuesday and Bob Evans - and saw their parking lots were also filled. However, one of the fancier restaurants in the area closed last week because of lack of customers.

So it appears that people are willing to get out for dinner if they can keep it under 20 bucks a person.

Of course that is not the case in all parts of the country and as the bad economic news continues we will have to wait and see what over all effect it has on the country.

We will see what comes out of the summit in DC this weekend and if the world leaders can come up with a plan that will help everyone. I have a feeling greed and national pride will win out and that in the end it will be every country for themselves. Of course, maybe I'm just a Negative Nelly.

Have a good weekend, enjoy your family and friends and thank God for another day of life.

Its Common Sense!
