I saw this article in Yahoo and decided to share it because I found it disturbing and frightening.

When you see the salaries being paid to EMTS, nursing assistants, pharmacy assistants and pre-school teachers you have to wonder if we are ever going to get our priorities right in this country. We pay millions to sports players and actors, and yet the people who are responsible for us and our family members every day of the week are getting nothing.
Time for some serious thinking.
Sports are entertaining but a caring, trained EMT is the difference between life and death.
